Meeting Sasquatch /
I’ve finally finished it. After pushing through all my summer camp planning, I’ve managed to carve out some time to finish this guy. Our two adventurers finally meet the illusive Sasquatch. He’s definitely a nice guy, really down to earth. We made plans to go grab a pizza later this week. Hah hah! I hope you guys like it…now, onto the NEXT ILLUSTRATION!!!
The Most Amazing Woman in the World /
Today is my 9-year dating Anniversary! Yes, on this day 9 years ago I asked my wife to “officially be my girlfriend.” I know it sounds childish and cheesy, especially when I think about it now, but it was the first step in one of the best decisions of my life. So in honor of our anniversary, I’m posting this video that I made for her while we were dating…in which it is evident how foolishly in love with this woman I am. (Enjoy a good laugh at my expense)

Mordecai Expression Study /
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a decent illustration, so here’s something to tide you over. This character is part of the wife and I’s collab-project. It’s an expression study of Mordecai, a small dragon based off of my pet bearded dragon of the same name. The expressions are actually based off of my own, especially the one in the second row right.
Awkward Korean 03 - Vanish! /
I learned a new word - “사라지다 (sarajida)”. It means “vanish.” So I made this quick little strip to help me remember. It’s a magician trying to make a bird vanish. He does, but not the way he expected. He makes a quick exit in the last frame…I would too if I exploded a bird in front of a bunch of kids.

Seoul 201 /
Here’s a little video I made of our first trip to Seoul. It took me a while to get to this footage, but I’m glad I put it together. We only stayed there for a few days, but we had lots of fun! We did a lot, but definitely didn’t get see everything. Looking forward to going back and checking out what we missed.

London 2006 /
After sitting on my shelf for almost 6 years I’ve finally gotten around to editing the footage of my wife and I’s trip to London. This video is very dear to me for a few reasons: (1) This was our honeymoon, which was quite a lovely way to start off our marriage. (2) It has always been Noelle’s dream to experience London first hand. Considering she’s the biggest anglophiliac I know, this was her dream come true! If you notice, I am not in any of the footage, which only confirms my theory: I was not actually on vacation in London. I was just there to document her experience. (3) This video documents our very first trip together, but also the first steps of our great adventure. We’ve traveled to so many places, learned about many cultures, and gained unforgettable experiences. I look forward to the future and all that it will bring.

Here’s a mildly clean sketch from the wife and I’s collab project. The next step is correcting and adjusting a few things about the sketch…then base colors. I’m so excited because it’s been a while since I’ve illustrated, and what better way to kick it off than with the Sasquatch. Oh Sasquatch…I wish I could meet you fo’ reals-ies!

We only knew them for a short time, but in the “pressure cooker” of being an ESL teacher in Korea, it was more than enough time for us to realize and appreciate what wonderful people they are. Chuseok 2011 /
In light of Noelle and I not having an American Thanksgiving due to sickness, I present to you a Chuseok video. Chuseok is Korea’s Thanksgiving equivalent. There wasn’t any turkey and pie, but there was definitely delicious meats and heotteok (a fried Korean pancake filled with nuts, cinnamon and sugar). Yum! There’s also heaps of Busan attractions, so we hope you enjoy our lovely city!
